In the last 24 hours, the cryptocurrency market cap saw net outflows of around $1 billion and currently stands at $1.14 trillion — down 0.06%.

During the period, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum’s (ETH) market cap rose 0.19% and 0.47% to $535.5 billion and $222.16 billion, respectively.

Tron was the biggest gainer among the top 10 assets. Others like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP posted minor gains of less than 1%.

Meanwhile, Polygon and Cardano fell by more than 2%, respectively.

Bitcoin

In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin rose 0.1% to trade at $27,611 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance remained rose to 47% from 46.9%.

During the reporting period, BTC continued to trade above $27,500 in anticipation of April’s U.S. Consumer Price Index numbers. Blockchain analytical firm Kaiko has highlighted how the U.S. banking crisis has continued to impact BTC’s liquidity across exchanges.

Ethereum

Over the last 24 hours, Ethereum saw a marginal gain of 0.27% to trade at $1,844 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance rose to 19.5% from 19.4%.

ETH mirrored BTC price performance, peaking at $1860 during the reporting period. Earlier in the week, ETH whales like Ethereum Foundation and Vitalik Buterin dumped some of their holdings.
