The cryptocurrency market cap saw net inflows of $40.15 billion since the last wMarket report on Jan. 6 and currently stands at $852.81 billion — up 4.9% from $812.66 billion.

Bitcoin’s market cap increased 3% to $332.25 billion from $322.33 billion on Jan. 6, while Ethereum’s market cap grew 6.1% to $161.43 billion from $152.17 billion on Friday.

In the last 24 hours, all of the top 10 cryptocurrencies posted gains, with significant increases for Solana and Cardano, up 21.8% and 13.2%, respectively. Market leader Bitcoin brings up the rear, posting a 1.9% increase.

Over the reporting period, the market cap of Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC) saw slight increases to $66.28 billion and $44 billion, respectively. By contrast, BinanceUSD (BUSD) fell 2.1% to $16.32 billion.

Bitcoin

Over the last 24 hours, Bitcoin grew 1.9% to trade at $17,267 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance fell to 39% from 39.7%.

BTC traded mostly sideways during the weekend but a pump Sunday evening (ET) set off a move higher that topped out at $17,289 around 05:00 today.

Ethereum

Ethereum grew 4.6% over the last 24 hours to trade at $1,321 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance grew to 19% from 18.7%.

ETH mirrored BTC, trading sideways until Sunday evening when a flood of volume took the second biggest token to $1,328 – a 26-day high.

Top 5 Gainers

Gala

GALA is today’s top gainer, rising by 53.7% over the last 24 hours to $0.03665 as of press time. The project announced partnerships with Hollywood A-listers and a move into mobile gaming. Its market cap stood at $255.71 million.

Zilliqa

ZIL rose by 46.94%% to trade at $0.02592 as of press time. Company CEO Matt Dyer announced several upcoming developments, including further forays in esports and an EVM-compatible MoneyMarket protocol. Its market cap stood at $411.29 million.

Nervos Network

CKB gained 28.3% over the reporting period to trade at $0.00325 as of press time. The token is up 40.2% over the last week. Its market cap stood at $108.47 million.

Solana

SOL grew 21.8% in the last 24 hours to $16.5003. The Solana ecosystem has been flooded with memecoins, including BONK, which has led to a surge in activity. Its market cap stood at $6.11 billion.

Ankr

ANKR rose 19.2% to 0.01967 as of press time. The token grew 24% over the last seven days. Its market cap stood at $190.1 million.
