“Pulling real-time data from smart devices and blockchain technologies could incentivize communities to gather trustworthy and accurate information for ChatGPT in exchange for crypto, NFTs, and other Web3 rewards,” said Fan. “Traditionally, IoT data is centralized and collected for business purposes, meaning ChatGPT could not benefit from it directly.”
ChatGPT confirmed it has no access to real-time data. “As an AI language model, I cannot access real-time information and news beyond my training data cutoff of September 2021.”
Fan reiterated that blockchain and other advanced Web3 technologies, such as W3bstream, have the potential to incentivize communities to gather more reliable and accurate real-time and real-world data for ChatGPT.

When asked what W3bstream could do for ChatGPT, the AI language model agreed with Dr. Fan “real-time data capabilities can significantly improve ChatGPT’s efficiency and accuracy.”
OpenAI’s application said, “currently uses a large knowledge base and inference system to answer user questions based on a huge amount of data collected from various sources. However, the accuracy and consistency of the data are limited by the quality of the data from a single source of truth.
