Jackson Palmer

Co-creator at Dogecoin

Jackson Palmer Bio

Jackson Palmer is an American software engineer who co-created dogecoin in 2013  with Billy Markus. They chose to develop a payment system as a “joke”, making fun of the wild speculation in cryptocurrencies at the time. Dogecoin is considered both the first “meme coin”, and, more particularly, the first “dog coin”. The comedic cryptocurrency was created as a method to mock Bitcoin and the other other cryptocurrencies boasting ambitious aspirations to take over the world.

Jackson is currently a Sr. Director of Product Management, Growth & Data Science at Adobe. Before developing Dogecoin, Palmer worked at Adobe System in Sydney, Australia as a marketeer.
