Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Bio

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.) is an American environmental lawyer, politician, and author. He is well-known for spreading anti-vaccine misinformation and conspiracy theories about public health. He is a candidate for the Democratic Party’s presidential candidacy in the 2024 election.

Kennedy is the son of former US Attorney General and Senator Robert F. Kennedy, as well as the nephew of former US President John F. Kennedy. Kennedy began his legal career in New York City as an assistant district attorney. He joined Riverkeeper in 1984 and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) in 1986, two environmental non-profits. In 1986, he was appointed as an adjunct professor of environmental law at Pace University School of Law. He started Pace Law School’s Environmental Litigation Clinic in 1987, where he served as supervising attorney and co-director until 2017. In 1999, he formed the non-profit environmental organization Waterkeeper Alliance and served as its president

He graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in American History and Literature and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
