Career

Hougan currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Bitwise Asset Management, the world’s largest provider of cryptocurrency index funds, managing over $1.5 billion in assets. At Bitwise, he oversees the firm’s investment strategies and plays a crucial role in the development of innovative crypto products aimed at both retail and institutional investors.

Before joining Bitwise, Hougan was the CEO of ETF.com and Inside ETFs, where he led the development of the first ETF data and analytics platform, the premier ETF media website, and the world’s largest ETF conference. His contributions to the ETF space have earned him widespread recognition in the financial industry.
