We seek a highly experienced and passionate Editor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in editorial roles, a deep understanding of the crypto industry, and an extensive network within the sector.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the editorial process during the E.U. daylight hours, ensuring all content meets CryptoSlate’s high quality, accuracy, and relevance standards
- Collaborate with the content team to develop and execute the editorial strategy, including generating and assigning story ideas and planning content for special projects
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry leaders, influencers, and subject matter experts to ensure access to exclusive insights and interviews
- Edit and proofread articles, ensuring consistency in style, tone, and voice across all content
- Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to writers to foster their growth and development
- Collaborate with the marketing and social media teams to develop strategies for promoting content and increasing audience engagement
- Stay up-to-date with industry news, trends, and developments to ensure that CryptoSlate remains at the forefront of the crypto conversation
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and forums to expand your network and maintain CryptoSlate’s presence within the community
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in editorial roles, focusing on the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry
- Demonstrated expertise in editing, proofreading, and content development
- Strong understanding of the crypto landscape, including key players, projects, and regulatory developments
- Extensive network within the crypto industry, including connections with thought leaders, innovators, and influencers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with content management systems, SEO best practices, and social media platforms
- Work and be available during European hours
