Push Protocol, the web3 messaging project, announced the launch of its innovative, decentralized, community-based streaming solution, Push Spaces, at EthCC.

This introduction marks a notable step towards a future of improved online communication, which the company believes will revolutionize how web3 users interact.

Harsh Rajat, co-founder and lead of Push Protocol, told CryptoSlate,

“Our goal is to revolutionize the way web3 users interact with one another natively in web3, and messaging between identities is a massive step in that direction.”

As reported, Push Spaces is an incentivized platform providing a decentralized alternative to existing solutions, offering enhanced user experience, privacy, and censorship resistance.

Much like Twitter Spaces, Push Spaces allows users to host or participate in any open forum, offering them the opportunity to chat, express thoughts, and react. To take part in a Push Space, the requirement is a crypto wallet. Currently, Push Protocol supports Ethereum, Polygon, and BSC wallets for this purpose.

What sets Push Spaces apart is that it requires no transaction signature or gas/fee payment to access its services. This feature offers a user-friendly approach to interacting within the Web3 space.

Push Protocol and Unstoppable Domains

In conjunction with this launch, Push Protocol also announced a strategic partnership with Unstoppable Domains and Polygon, enabling name-wallet to name-wallet messaging for Unstoppable’s 3.6 million users.

The partnership aims to enhance the adoption of decentralized messaging and significantly improve the wallet user experience. Rajat revealed,

“What is most exciting about our partnership with Unstoppable Domain is that this just might be the tipping point for bringing web3-native communication solutions to the masses.”

Sandy Carter, COO and Head of Business Development at Unstoppable Domains expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration, saying,

“We’re thrilled to partner with Push on messaging and add utility to Web3 domains. We can’t wait to put messaging in the hands of our community and power a new wave of Web3 communication.”

Building a decentralized social graph.

In the face of existing social media giant Twitter’s numerous challenges, Push Spaces offers a unique solution. The platform is built on top of Push Protocol’s existing communication ecosystem, which comprises over 90,000 subscribers across more than 700 applications and three blockchains, making it the first decentralized audio and video streaming application of its kind.

The announcement of Push Spaces follows the recent launch of Push Chat, a wallet-to-wallet text and video chat service. Both developments further underline Push Protocol’s commitment to providing a decentralized alternative to traditional messaging platforms. Rajat said,

“Our developments, including Push Spaces, are paving the way for the future of communication networks. We believe that our decentralized approach will bring a new level of security, privacy, and control to users.”

Push Protocol’s vision extends beyond building “decentralized Twitter Spaces.” As an open-source protocol, it encourages developers to innovate new ways of envisioning how audio and video streaming can look, including token-gated Spaces for community members with even finer access control.

With the introduction of Push Spaces and its burgeoning partnership with Unstoppable Domains and Polygon, Push Protocol iterates its commitment to building the communication network for Web3, addressing a gap in critical infrastructure, and improving the everyday experience for blockchain users.
