EthCC[4] will return to Paris in March 2021 to reunite the community after the launch of Eth 2.0 and DeFi’s exponential growth

PARIS 4 Nov 2020 — EthCC (Ethereum Community Conference), the largest annual European Ethereum conference created for the community, by the community, will return for EthCC[4] from the 2-4 March 2021 in Paris, France to inspire knowledge and dive into the topics affecting the Ethereum ecosystem.

“We are thrilled to be able to make our return and provide the community with a chance to reconnect after the unprecedented times that followed EthCC[3] in March 2020. This pause in the world saw the community build some industry-shaping technology and now, we have a chance to come together and continue to share our knowledge and education on the developments from our community,” said Jerome de Tychey, Founder and President of Ethereum France.

EthCC caters to different levels of crypto literacy, with panel discussions, presentations and workshops led by renowned speakers in the industry. Themes such as Decentralised Finance (DeFi), Security, Developer Tools, Enterprise, Eth 2.0, scaling solutions and more, serve to educate and inspire attendees on the developments from the Ethereum community.

The EthCC team is working closely with the venue, La Maison de la mutualité, to ensure that every possible measure will be taken to uphold social distancing and respect the COVID-19 regulations put in place by the French government.

The last time the Ethereum community came together was in March 2019 when 250 speakers and 900 attendees met at EthCC[3].

Many chose EthCC as the place to share announcements, with highlights including, a public plea to the community from Julian Assange’s father, John Shipton, the launch of the STASIS Wallet and Decrypt’s plans to launch their rewards token on the OST platform, as well as a French track where Barnabe Monot from the Ethereum Foundation, Charles Guillemet from Ledger and Ambre Soubiran from Kaiko connected with the francophone community.

Stani Kulechov, founder and CEO of Aave said:

“The last EthCC was truly inspiring, I really enjoyed meeting new people and exploring new synergies. This is what the Ethereum community is about, and I am looking forward to being part of more EthCC’s in the future.”

EthCC[4] will continue supporting the community through EthVC, a bridge between VCs wishing to discover new projects, and blockchain companies searching for funding but missing VCs in their network. The much-needed programme between the two saw Point Nine Capital, Earlybird VC, Lakestar VC and a handful of others attend EthCC[3] to further develop the ecosystem.

“EthVC, the ‘VC’ track of the conference, successfully brought together startups and investors over the 3-day event, aimed at enhancing connectivity and understanding between the two by providing a private, application-only VC track dedicated to this. We are delighted to host this again in 2021!” said Ambre Soubiran, CEO of Kaiko.

YAP Global, an international PR agency specialised in blockchain, cryptocurrency and fintech communications, will also be returning as the official PR partner for EthCC[4].

“Physical conferences and events are essential in breathing life into this tight-knit global Ethereum community so we are thrilled to be supporting the EthCC team for this much needed reunion away from video conference calls,” said Samantha Yap, Founder & CEO of YAP Global.
