Kris is the founder of the Vorto Games subsidiary vz games and is part of the core team developing the real-time strategy game Hash Rush – the first title to feature on the Vorto Network.

He studied Computer Science at the Latvijas Universitate before pursuing a career in the legal and financial sectors, specialising in cryptocurrency investments and blockchain technology.

In 2017, fusing his personal passion for gaming and a professional understanding of how blockchain technology could positively impact the industry, Kris sought to create his own offering that would change the way players profited from their experience. The results were a play-to-earn gaming function that rewarded the user based on the time they dedicated to the game. 

Hash Rush went on to receive widespread industry recognition, picking up the Best Innovation Award at the 2018 Gamescom, and sharing the stage with some of the most notable publishers and gaming franchises in the world, including Nintendo’s Super Mario Party and PlayStation’s Marvel’s Spiderman. 

Kris joined forces with Vorto Gaming in late 2020 and is developing a reimagined version of Hash Rush that will be the first game offering on the Vorto Network.
