Head of Affiliate Partnerships

iGaming · Crypto · Financial Products

  • Location: Remote
  • Type: Full-time
  • Seniority: Senior / Head-Level
  • Reports To: Founder

About the Role

CryptoSlate is building toward becoming the go-to destination for people researching and comparing crypto products and services — from exchanges and wallets to financial products, and other high-intent commercial categories. We already generate strong review and comparison traffic, our pages rank and convert, and inbound demand from operators is growing faster than we can manage today.

We are looking for a sharp, commercially-driven Head of Affiliate Partnerships to own the full operator relationship lifecycle: from qualifying inbound interest and negotiating deals, to ensuring operators pay on time and that our revenue is accurately tracked and reported internally. This is a builder role — you will be the commercial backbone of the partnerships function, own it day to day as a solo operator initially, and help shape how CryptoSlate commercialises its product and service discovery business as it scales.

Critically, this is an AI-first role. We are not looking for someone who is merely curious about AI or open to trying it. We want someone who is already deeply embedded in AI tooling in their daily work — someone who instinctively reaches for automation, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted workflows to make every process faster, sharper, and more scalable. If you are not actively thinking about how to use AI to improve outreach, deal tracking, collections, and reporting, this role is unlikely to be the right fit.

Why Join

  • Join at a stage where the commercial upside is real and the structure is still being built — you will have genuine influence over how the partnerships function operates.
  • Help turn CryptoSlate into a go-to platform for crypto product and service discovery, not just a publisher with affiliate links.
  • Work across some of the most commercially valuable categories in the market, with room to shape deal strategy, monetisation priorities, and operator relationships.
  • Build systems with AI and automation at the core from day one, rather than inheriting slow legacy workflows.
  • Grow with the business: for the right person, this role can evolve into the long-term commercial lead for a much broader partnerships operation.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Management & Negotiation

  • Qualify and prioritise all inbound operator requests across iGaming, crypto, and financial product verticals.
  • Negotiate CPA, hybrid, listing fee, sponsored placement, and category or top-list flat fee deals — always pushing for above-market rates.
  • Introduce and structure CPA components into existing hybrid deals where none exist.
  • Secure direct operator deals wherever possible, rather than relying on affiliate networks or intermediaries.
  • Maintain a live deal pipeline with stage, projected value, and close probability — leveraging AI tools to automate pipeline hygiene, flag stale deals, and draft follow-up communications.

Operator Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all operator partners post-signing.
  • Proactively identify upsell and rate renegotiation opportunities using traffic and conversion data.
  • Monitor operator performance (FTDs, NGR, player quality) and use data as leverage in commercial reviews.
  • Identify gaps in category or market coverage and proactively pursue partnerships where existing traffic is not yet being monetised effectively.
  • Use AI-assisted research and outreach tooling to scale prospecting and personalise operator communication without adding headcount.

Collections & Accounts Receivable

  • Own the full collections process — chase operators for outstanding payments across all deal types (CPAs, listing fees, flat fees).
  • Issue payment reminders, escalate overdue invoices, and maintain a clear log of payment status per operator.
  • Coordinate with operators to resolve billing disputes, discrepancies in reported CPAs, and reconciliation issues.
  • Ensure zero revenue leakage: every triggered CPA, renewed listing, and flat fee placement is invoiced and tracked through to receipt.
  • Flag chronic late payers to the founder and recommend commercial or contractual remedies where necessary.
  • Where possible, implement AI-assisted reconciliation workflows to cross-check reported vs. received CPAs at scale and surface discrepancies automatically.

Financial Reporting

  • Produce a monthly revenue report covering all three commercial streams: CPA, listing fees, and flat fee placements.
  • Track received vs. reported CPAs per operator and flag discrepancies on a rolling basis.
  • Maintain a live dashboard of pipeline value, signed deal value, invoiced revenue, and collected revenue.
  • Report monthly to the founder: deals closed, revenue generated, outstanding receivables, and commission earned.
  • Support accounting and tax requirements by maintaining clean deal records, invoice copies, and payment confirmations.
  • Reporting infrastructure should be built with AI and automation at its core — manual spreadsheet work is a last resort, not a default.

Tools & Operating Environment

You will work across the core commercial stack required to run a modern affiliate partnerships function: CRM and pipeline management, affiliate tracking platforms, reporting dashboards, invoicing and collections workflows, and AI/no-code automation tools.

We care less about attachment to any single platform and more about your ability to build a reliable operating system across outreach, deal tracking, reconciliation, reporting, and payment follow-up. You should be comfortable working across structured systems, improving workflows, and introducing better tooling where needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Background

  • 3–6+ years in affiliate partnerships, business development, or affiliate management — ideally from the operator side (casino, crypto exchange, fintech).
  • Demonstrable track record of negotiating CPA deals above €150–€300+ per FTD or equivalent in crypto.
  • Experience managing a book of operator relationships and owning commercial outcomes end-to-end.
  • Comfortable owning collections and accounts receivable — chasing payments is part of the job, not beneath it.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of CPA, RevShare, hybrid, and flat fee deal structures and when to push for each.
  • Familiarity with affiliate tracking platforms such as Income Access, Cellxpert, Impact, or equivalent, plus confidence working across CRM, reporting, and invoicing workflows.
  • Strong grasp of affiliate economics, player LTV, deal quality, CPA performance, and how to use commercial data in negotiations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication — able to present proposals and escalate payment issues with confidence.
  • Existing warm network of affiliate manager contacts in iGaming and/or crypto is a significant advantage.
  • Basic SEO knowledge and understanding of SEO concepts and practices.

AI-First Mindset — Non-Negotiable

  • You are already using AI tools daily and have a defined personal stack — this is not aspirational, it is current practice.
  • You think instinctively about which parts of a workflow can be automated, prompted, or augmented with AI before reaching for manual effort.
  • You are comfortable building lightweight AI-assisted processes for outreach, reconciliation, reporting, and follow-up without waiting for a technical team to do it for you.
  • You are proactive about making commercial processes faster, smarter, and more effective through intelligent tooling.
  • You can articulate exactly how AI has already made you a more effective operator in your current or most recent role.

Personal Attributes

  • Commercial operator mindset — you think in revenue, margin, and pipeline, not just relationships.
  • Highly organised and process-driven: keeps clean records, meets deadlines, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Comfortable working in a lean, founder-led environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages (German, Spanish, Portuguese) are a plus given our geo mix.

Compensation

This is a performance-based role built for someone who wants meaningful upside. Compensation includes a base salary plus a substantial uncapped commission component tied directly to the revenue you generate. The stronger your commercial performance, the more you earn. Full compensation details will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.

How to Apply

Applications that do not demonstrate a genuine AI-first approach will not be considered. We are not interested in cover letters — we are interested in how you work.

Your application must include a clear breakdown of your current AI stack: the tools you use, the workflows you have built or automated, and the measurable impact it has had on your output. Be specific. Be honest. We will test you on it.
