The Open Summit, the largest TON gathering, made a lasting impression with its grand entrance and expansive, visually captivating stage. The event featured a vibrant, tropical-themed Code Summer hackathon area that buzzed with creativity and innovation. Over 50 speakers from the global TON ecosystem took to the stage, delivering insights and inspiring the audience with discussions that spanned the latest developments and future directions of blockchain technology. The design of the event space, from the entrance to the main stage, reflected the summit’s dynamic and forward-thinking spirit, creating an immersive experience for all attendees.
The Solana and Ordinal Stage was a major highlight at ABS2024, bringing together influential speakers from both ecosystems to discuss groundbreaking advancements in DeFi and retail innovation. Thought leaders from Solana and Ordinals shared their visions on how decentralized finance can transform traditional markets. Lily Liu, President of the Solana Foundation, delivered a compelling keynote on PayFi, a DeFi-based settlement idea, and provided practical examples of its applications. FamilyMart, a convenience store chain with over 24,000 branches worldwide, unveiled a futuristic FamilyMart truck at ABS2024. In collaboration with Bitogroup, FamilyMart demonstrated blockchain’s seamless integration into everyday life. The ASUS Metaverse stage delved into the future of virtual reality and hardware integration, showcasing how these technologies are converging to create immersive digital experiences.
The GEDA Web3 Game Zone hosted the most expansive Web3 gaming event of 2024, transforming the space into a futuristic gaming arena. The zone featured live esports tournaments on a state-of-the-art esports stage, complete with immersive LED displays and dynamic lighting that brought the games to life. The zone hosted panels where game developers and gaming industry leaders discussed the future of blockchain gaming.

This discussion brought to light the critical balance between innovation and regulation, with Commissioner Peirce advocating for global cooperation in blockchain regulation. Ju-Chun (JC) Ko, Legislator-At-Large for Taiwan’s Congress, provided valuable insights on the Republic on Chain initiative. The fireside chat titled “Taiwan Save The World,” featuring Kent Chien, Corporate Vice President & General Manager of Multimedia BU at ASUS, offered attendees inspiration by showcasing how Taiwan fosters innovation.
Bankee Social Bank of Far Eastern International Bank, one of Taiwan’s premier financial institutions, made a landmark announcement by unveiling its comprehensive Blockchain Roadmap. This strategic initiative outlines the bank’s plans to integrate blockchain technology across its operations, signaling a significant move towards digital transformation within Taiwan’s financial sector.
A landmark session was between Stan Shih, Co-Founder of ACER, and Che-Yu Wu, Founder of Monoame Interactive. A Taiwanese Technology global business icon, Stan Shih shared his visionary outlook for Taiwan’s digital future, highlighting the role of digital art and assets in shaping the global economy. His emphasis on creativity and innovation as drivers of digital transformation resonated beyond Taiwan, offering a blueprint for other countries looking to lead in the digital age.
The Open Summit: The Largest Annual TON Summit
The Open Summit emerged as the most significant TON event, drawing thousands of attendees and bringing together key players from the global TON ecosystem. Major projects such as Bitget Wallet, Catizen, Banana, Tonkeeper, and Yescoin converged to discuss the future of Web3. The event opened with a keynote by Steve Yun of the TON Foundation, setting the stage for a series of thought-provoking discussions led by industry leaders.
The summit served as a platform for major announcements, including TONX securing $4 million in funding from top Asia-Pacific venture capital firms and forming strategic partnerships with IoTeX and Alibaba Cloud.
Additionally, TONX introduced new collaborations and innovations, such as the launch of the Tonkeeper Signer App and the Catizen Game Center. The event also featured thought-provoking discussions led by industry leaders like Steve Yun of the TON Foundation.
