Pornhub, a leading adult entertainment website, recently began supporting a new cryptocurrency payment method after PayPal ended support for the company’s models last year.

Pornhub’s management notes that it will now accept major stablecoin Tether, which maintains a one-to-one peg with the US dollar and currently has a market capitalization of over $4.6 billion. Pornhub users can now make instant and zero-fee payments with USDT through TronLink a popular digital asset wallet and browser extension.

TronLink can now be used to pay with USDT on Pornhub

TronLink is the native online wallet for Tron (TRX). The USDT stablecoin was added to the Tron network after Tether Ltd. teamed up with the Tron Foundation and launched the first Tron blockchain-based USDT tokens last year.

Pornhub models will have to download the TronLink wallet app in order to start performing transactions with USDT. The app is currently available on Apple Store and Google Play.

In addition to TronLink, Pornhub added support for Cosmo Payment, a newly developed payment processing platform.

This development has come shortly after PayPal suspended payment support for Pornhub models in November of last year. The payments giant halted its services because Pornhub allegedly processed certain payments without PayPal’s approval.

Crypto community suggests that Pornhub should start accepting Bitcoin

Crypto community members have suggested that Pornhub should start accepting Bitcoin as a payment option. The adult website has been encouraging users to pay with crypto. In August 2019, Pornhub teamed up with digital currency payment company PumaPay in order to accept crypto payments from users.

In 2018, Pornhub had also partnered with the developers of Verge to accept the privacy coin as payment for Pornhub Premium and all other products and services purchased from the adult website. XVG surged last year almost immediately after PayPal ended support for Pornhub.
