The current FundingPips coupon code is HELLO, which takes 20% off your first challenge purchase. It applies at checkout on all five account models, Zero, 1-Step Flex, 2-Step Standard, 2-Step Flex, and 2-Step Pro, and on every account size except the $100K tier. On the cheapest option, the $29 2-Step Pro $5K challenge, that brings the entry price down to about $23.20.

Beyond this one-time FundingPips discount code, the real long-term saving isn’t a discount at all. It’s the challenge fee refund available on 1-Step Flex and 2-Step Standard accounts, where the original registration fee is refunded after you receive your 4th reward on the Master Account. That benefit is not available on Zero, 2-Step Flex, or 2-Step Pro.

How the Evaluation Works

How the Evaluation Works

Getting funded on FundingPips follows the same basic sequence regardless of which model you choose: buy a FundingPips challenge, trade to the profit target, get promoted to a Master Account, then start receiving rewards.

What changes between models is how many steps the process takes and how strict the rules are once you’re funded. So, how does FundingPips work? Here’s the general process from start to finish.

  1. Choose a model and account size, then purchase the challenge.
  2. Trade the evaluation phase(s), one or two phases depending on the model (Zero skips this entirely).
  3. Pass by hitting the profit target with all trades closed.
  4. FundingPips then automatically sends you an email promoting you to the next phase or to a Master Account.
  5. Complete the Master Account onboarding process, including KYC verification, a Responsible Trading Team review, and agreement signing.
  6. Trade the funded Master Account.
  7. Meet the reward cycle’s eligibility requirements.
  8. Request your reward through the FundingPips dashboard.

Each model applies a different set of rules to that process. Here’s how the five account types compare.

Zero Account

The Zero account is FundingPips’ instant funding model. There’s no evaluation to pass. Traders receive a Master Account immediately after purchase, provided they continue trading within the firm’s risk parameters from day one. I would say this is best suited to experienced traders who don’t want to spend time proving themselves through a multi-phase evaluation.

But that speed comes at a cost. Zero has the tightest and most restrictive rulebook on the platform, including a trailing (rather than static) drawdown, a hard cap on floating losses, a mandatory profitable day requirement, and a complete ban on news trading and weekend holding. Personally, I would avoid this account.

Here’s a complete breakdown of the FundingPips Zero account rules:

1-Step Flex

1-Step Flex is FundingPips’ fastest path to a funded account that still requires an evaluation. There’s a single phase, a single profit target, and no minimum number of trading days, so a disciplined trader can theoretically pass in a single session.

2-Step Standard

2-Step Standard is FundingPips’ flagship model and the one most traders choose. It requires clearing two profit targets across two phases, each with a minimum of three trading days, and offers the most forgiving loss limits and the highest standard forex leverage of any model on the platform. The trade-off for that flexibility is a longer path to funded status than the Flex or one-step models.

2-Step Flex

2-Step Flex keeps the two-phase structure of Standard but loosens the drawdown limits and adds a choice at purchase. Traders can choose between an 85% reward split with no minimum trading days or a 95% reward split that requires three profitable days during each reward cycle. That choice is permanent once the account is purchased, so it’s worth deciding upfront based on your trading frequency.

2-Step Pro

2-Step Pro is built for traders who value speed and precision over extra room for error. Each phase requires only a 6% profit target and a single trading day to pass, making it the fastest of the two-phase models. However, it also has the tightest loss limits on the platform outside of Zero, leaving very little margin for error.

  1. Instant funding, so there is no evaluation phase. FundingPips shows no minimum trading days on this model — the 7-day figure is a separate retention rule, not a pass requirement: at least 7 profitable days must be achieved within each rolling 30-day period, counted from the first trade, where a profitable day means at least 0.25% of account balance, and failing it closes the account. The trailing floor stops at +5% profit and locks permanently to the initial balance, behaving as static from then on. Maximum open risk is 1% of starting size across all open positions, a hard breach separate from the per-idea cap of 3% below $50,000 and 2% above. The first 3% of profit cannot be requested. News trading and weekend holding are both prohibited outright. The 15% consistency rule caps how much of total profit any single day may contribute.

Rules & Restrictions

Rules & Restrictions

FundingPips enforces a specific set of risk rules on every account. The exact limits vary depending on the account model you’re trading and whether you’re in the Evaluation stage or already on a funded Master Account. As a result, the same mistake can have very different consequences depending on which challenge you purchased.

Below, I’ll explain the most important FundingPips rules, how they differ across all five account types, and include a practical example for each to help drive the point home.

FundingPips rules at a glance

RuleLimitConsequenceApplies To
Profit Concentration Policy60%Applies to evaluation accounts of $25,000 and above opened on or after 27 June 2026, on 1-Step Flex, 2-Step Standard, 2-Step Pro and 2-Step Flex. Zero is exempt because it has no evaluation phase. Breaching it does not fail the evaluation — the account still passes, but the resulting Master Account permanently requires four minimum profitable days, each worth at least 0.5% of the initial account size, before every reward request for the life of the account.Evaluation
Maximum risk per trade idea3%A trade idea is one trade or several same-direction positions on the same instrument, including any reopened within 10 minutes of closing a loss. The cap varies by model. Zero applies 3% below $50,000 and 2% at $50,000 and above. 2-Step Flex applies no cap below $25,000, then 3% at $25,000 and 2% above. 2-Step Pro carries no per-idea cap at all. On 1-Step Flex and 2-Step Standard the rule does not apply during evaluation, and the Striking System replaces it on the Master Account.Program Dependent
Striking System1%On 1-Step Flex Master accounts a 1% floating loss on a single trade idea logs a warning, and on 2-Step Standard Master accounts of $25,000 and above the threshold is 1.2%. Warnings are cumulative and never reset: the first is logged and the profit deducted, the second halves the profit split to 42.5%, the third cuts it to 20%, and the fourth closes the account.Funded
Dynamic leverage on metals, energies and indices5 The lowest step on the ladder, reached above 0.50 lots. Leverage starts at 1:50 for the first 0.05 lots and steps down through 1:30, 1:25, 1:20 and 1:10 before reaching it.On Master Accounts leverage starts at 1:50 for the first 0.05 lots, then steps down through 1:30, 1:25, 1:20 and 1:10, reaching 1:5 above 0.50 lots. Forex itself stays at 1:100. There is no breach attached, but leverage is not flat across a large position, so the later portion of a big metals or indices trade receives far less than the advertised figure.Funded
Maximum floating risk1%Zero only, and separate from the per-idea cap. Combined open risk across all positions may not exceed 1% of starting size, and breaching it is a hard breach that ends the account rather than logging a warning.Funded

Up to 1:100 leverage
Applies to forex on eligible account types. On Master Accounts, metals, energies, and indices step down from 1:50 to 1:5 as position size grows; crypto falls from 1:2 to 1:1; the Swap-Free add-on cuts forex to 1:30 and indices to 1:5.
Weekend holding allowed
Allowed during evaluation only. Currently suspended on Master Accounts across all four evaluation models, and permanently prohibited on Zero.
News trading allowed
Unrestricted during evaluation. Master Accounts apply a 10-minute restricted window around red-folder events, and Zero prohibits news trading entirely with a 20-minute window.
Refundable challenge fee
Refunded only on 1-Step Flex and 2-Step Standard, and only after your 4th reward on the Master Account. Not available on Zero, 2-Step Flex, or 2-Step Pro.

Maximum Daily Loss

The daily loss limit resets every trading day and caps how much your equity can fall from that day’s starting point. It’s important to note that FundingPips calculates it using whichever is higher: your balance or your equity at the start of the day. Both floating and closed losses count toward it, and the limit resets at 00:00 Platform Time (UTC+3).

ChallengeMaximum Daily LossDrawdown Type
Zero3%Static
1-Step Flex3%Static
2-Step Standard5%Static
2-Step Flex4%Static
2-Step Pro3%Static

Example (2-Step Standard, $100K account): If your account balance at the start of the day is $105K, but your opening equity is $107K, then the higher value, $107K, becomes the baseline for calculating that day’s maximum permitted daily loss. Five percent of $107K is $5,350, so your equity cannot drop below $101,650 at any point during the day. This means even open positions cannot bring your equity below that level. It doesn’t matter if the position later recovers.

Maximum Overall Loss

This is the hard floor for the entire account, and FundingPips uses two different mechanics depending on the account type.

ChallengeMaximum Overall LossDrawdown Type
Zero5%Trailing
1-Step Flex12%Static
2-Step Standard10%Static
2-Step Flex12%Static
2-Step Pro6%Static

On the Zero account type, the maximum loss floor is trailing. It rises in step with the account’s highest-ever equity, but it never moves back down, and it stops trailing entirely once the account reaches a 5% profit.

Example: If I have a $100K Zero account with a permitted maximum trailing loss of 5%, and my equity reaches a high of $102K, the floor sits 5% below that peak, at $96,900. If my equity (including open positions) later pulls back to $99K, the floor remains at $96,900. It doesn’t reset lower because a trailing floor only ever moves up.

Once the equity reaches a 5% profit on the account’s starting balance, so $105K on a $100K account, the floor stops trailing altogether and locks permanently at $100K, the original starting balance. From that point onward, it behaves like a static floor. This drawdown type is almost identical to what we see with futures prop firms.

On all the remaining account types, the maximum loss floor is static, meaning it is set at a fixed distance below the starting balance and never adjusts, regardless of how much profit the account makes. For example, on a 2-Step Pro $100K account, the floor is fixed at 6% below the starting balance, or $94K, from the moment the account opens. It remains at $94K forever, whether the account is up $500 or $50,000.

Max Open Risk Limit on FundingPips Zero: The Zero account also employs a Max Open Risk Limit of 1% of the starting account size, measured in real time against your combined floating PnL. This rule considers the total unrealized loss across all open positions simultaneously. The moment your combined floating loss reaches 1% of the starting account size (for example, $1,000 for a $100K account), the account is breached, even if none of the trades have been closed yet.

How the Zero trailing floor moves, and where it stops

Zero is the only FundingPips model whose floor trails. It follows the account up, then locks permanently once the account is 5% in profit.

Intraday trailing drawdown scenario The calculated floor is $100,000. The later account value is $103,000, producing the result No Breach.

Zero Master Account, $100,000. Trailing floor with a cap at the initial balance.

Consistency Requirements

FundingPips doesn’t enforce a traditional consistency requirement during the evaluation stage. However, it introduced a new Profit Concentration Policy that applies to evaluation accounts created on or after June 27, 2026.

The Profit Concentration Policy applies to newly created Evaluation accounts of $25,000 and above across all models with an evaluation phase: 1 Step, 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Pro, and 2 Step Flex. It does not apply to Zero accounts, as Zero is an instant Master Account with no evaluation phase.

If a single trade idea accounts for more than 60% of the profit target in any evaluation phase, the resulting Master Account will require four minimum profitable days, each worth at least 0.5% of the initial account size, before every future reward request for the life of the account. It does not fail the evaluation. The account still passes normally, but it permanently restricts how that account can request rewards afterward.

Next, there are different consistency rules to follow during the funded stage. The evaluation stage also has minimum trading day requirements, but the good thing is that a standard trading day is defined as any calendar day in which at least one trade is opened and fully closed.

In my own experience, I made the entire 8% profit target for Phase 1 of a 2-Step Standard account on the very first day after getting the account. I then simply opened and closed one trade on each of the next two days to meet the minimum trading day requirement and pass the account. Yes, it increases the time it takes to pass, but it doesn’t require me to change my trading approach.

ChallengeFundingPips consistency rule (funded/Master accounts only)Minimum trading days
Zero15% consistency rule: your biggest winning day cannot exceed 15% of your total cumulative profit.Minimum 7 profitable days every 30 days. A profitable day is one where you earn at least 0.25% of the initial account balance.
1-Step FlexNoneNone
2-Step Standard35% consistency score, but only when using the On-Demand reward cycle.3 minimum trading days during the Evaluation Stage, then 3 minimum profitable days for the 90% On-Demand profit split due to the consistency rule.
2-Step FlexNoneNo minimum trading days for the 85% profit split, but 3 profitable days for the 95% profit split. A profitable day is a day whose profit is at least 0.5% of your starting account size.
2-Step ProNoneNone

Example (Zero, $10K account): Across a 7-day stretch with profits of $518, $497, $508, $459, $492, $520, and $506, the total profit comes to $3,500. The 15% cap allows a single day’s profit to be up to $525. The biggest winning day, $520, accounts for 14.86% of the total, which is just within the limit, so the reward request can proceed. If that day’s profit had been $530 instead, every other condition could still be met, but the reward request would be blocked until further trading reduced that day’s share of the total profit.

Per-Idea Risk Cap

This limits how much can be lost on one “trade idea,” defined as a single trade or multiple same-direction positions on the same instrument, including any reopened within 10 minutes of closing a loss. It only applies to the Master Account.

On two models (1-Step Flex and 2-Step Standard Master accounts of $25K and above), FundingPips instead uses a Striking System. Rather than an instant breach, hitting the floating loss threshold on one trade idea logs a warning, and the penalty escalates with each one.

ChallengePer-idea risk cap
Zero3% of Master Account size below $50K; 2% at $50K and above
1-Step FlexStriking System — a 1% floating loss on a single trade idea triggers a warning
2-Step StandardStriking System for Master accounts $25K and above — a 1.2% floating loss on a single trade idea triggers a warning
2-Step FlexNo restriction below $25K; 3% of account size at $25K; 2% above $25K
2-Step ProNo per-idea risk cap

How the Striking System works (1-Step Flex example): A warning is logged every time the combined floating loss on a single trade idea reaches 1% of the Master Account size. Warnings are cumulative and never reset.

  • The 1st warning is simply recorded, with any profit from that trade idea deducted.
  • The 2nd warning halves the reward split, from 85% to 42.5%.
  • The 3rd warning reduces the split to 20%.
  • The 4th warning closes the account entirely.

Nothing is force-closed when a warning is triggered. The trader can continue managing the position, but any profit the flagged trade idea eventually makes is stripped from the account rather than paid out.

Hard-cap example (2-Step Flex Master Account, $100K, 2% limit): Three concurrent sell positions on gold are floating at losses of $900, $700, and $400. Individually, none breaches the limit, but together they total $2,000, which equals the 2% threshold and triggers a breach, regardless of whether the trades are still open.

News Trading

News restrictions apply differently depending on the stage. Every evaluation phase, except Zero, which has no evaluation phase, allows unrestricted trading during news events. Once an account reaches Master status, a restricted news window applies on every model that has one. Zero has a 20-minute restricted window.

ChallengeEvaluation phaseMaster Account
ZeroN/A (no evaluation stage)20-minute restricted window (10 minutes before and 10 minutes after). No news trading allowed.
1-Step Flex, 2-Step Flex, 2-Step Standard, 2-Step ProUnrestricted10-minute restricted window (5 minutes before and 5 minutes after)

The “10-minute restricted window” does not mean 10 minutes before or after the event. Instead, it runs from 5 minutes before a high-impact news event until 5 minutes after it. For Zero accounts, the restricted window is 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after the event, for a total of 20 minutes. Only red-folder, high-impact events listed on Forex Factory count.

Example (2-Step Standard Master Account): Suppose a trader opens a EUR/USD position 30 minutes before a high-impact USD news release. If that trade remains open and is closed at any point during the 5-minutes-before to 5-minutes-after window, the entire profit from that trade is removed from the account, not just the profit earned during the restricted window. For the profit to count, the trader must close the position at least 5 minutes after the news release.

The one exception is timing. A trade opened at least 5 hours before the news event is completely exempt from the restriction, and its full profit counts even if it is closed during the restricted window. Zero accounts have no such exemption. Any position that is opened, closed, or simply remains open during the 20-minute restricted window results in an immediate hard breach.

Weekend and Overnight Holding

Overnight holding on weeknights is allowed on every model. Weekend holding is a separate, more restrictive matter. It is currently suspended on Master Accounts across the four evaluation models (a temporary rule, according to FundingPips) and permanently banned on Zero at every stage.

ChallengeEvaluation phaseMaster Account
ZeroN/A (no evaluation)Prohibited (permanent)
1-Step Flex, 2-Step Flex, 2-Step Standard, 2-Step ProPermittedNot allowed (temporary)

Example: On 2-Step Standard, 2-Step Flex, 2-Step Pro, and 1-Step Flex, any position still open at the Friday market close on a Master Account is automatically closed by the system. This does not count as a hard breach. On Zero, the same scenario is treated completely differently. Leaving any position open over the weekend, on any instrument, results in immediate account termination.

Inactivity Rule

This is the one rule that’s identical across every account type and every stage, whether Evaluation or Master. An account becomes inactive after 30 days with no completed trades.

The inactivity clock starts on the account creation date if no trades have been placed yet, or the day after the last trade was fully closed. An open position does not count as activity. A trade must be both opened and fully closed within the 30-day window to keep the account active.

A trader who opens a position on day 1 and simply lets it run without closing it for 30 days will have the account breached for inactivity, even if the position is showing an open profit.

FundingPips charges a one-time challenge fee per account. There’s no recurring subscription like you see with futures prop firms. The price scales with account size and varies by model, since each one comes with a different rule set and profit split.

Refunds: The challenge fee is a one-time service fee, not a deposit, and FundingPips treats it as non-refundable once paid. The only way to recover it is through the 4th reward refund, available on the two models that offer it. I’ve received a refund this way myself, so I can confidently say the firm honors this promise.

A few additional cost-related details worth knowing:

  • Reset fee (breached accounts): Resets are discounted, not free. FundingPips offers 15% off a Phase 1 reset, 10% off a Phase 2 reset, and 7% off a Master Account reset (excluding $100K and larger accounts) across every evaluation model. Zero accounts do not receive a discounted reset for inactivity breaches, although a 20% discounted reset is available for rule or risk breaches.
  • Swap-Free add-on: Adds 10% to the challenge fee and is available only on MT5.
  • Platform fee: Choosing cTrader adds $20 to the base evaluation price. MT5 and MatchTrader are available at no extra cost.
  • Currency selection: Your account currency is locked in at checkout (USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, or INR) and cannot be changed afterward. If you want a different currency later, you’ll need to purchase a new account.
  • No monthly or data fees: Unlike some prop firms, FundingPips doesn’t charge recurring platform or market data fees on top of the one-time challenge fee.

Payouts & Profit Split

Payouts & Profit Split

Profit split on FundingPips isn’t a single fixed number. It’s tied to the reward cycle you choose, and on some models, that choice is locked in permanently at the time of purchase. The general rule is simple: faster reward cycles come with a lower FundingPips payout split, while slower, less frequent reward requests offer a higher split.

A few things are worth calling out separately:

  • Scaling: FundingPips runs a tiered scaling plan (Launchpad to Ascender to Trailblazer) that increases account size and, eventually, the profit split for consistently profitable traders. The firm states a maximum scaling ceiling of $2 million in trading capital and up to a 100% profit split at the top Hot Seat tier.
  • On-Demand rewards (2-Step Standard): Choosing the On-Demand reward cycle (90% profit split) requires maintaining a 35% consistency score and earning at least 2% profit before each reward request. It’s the most flexible reward cycle but also has the strictest qualification requirements.
  • Evidence the firm actually pays: FundingPips’ Rewards page states that the firm has paid out over $283 million to traders, with real rewards and zero denials. The official pricing page also lists an average first reward for each account size and model. For example, the $100K 2-Step Standard account shows an average first reward of $4,144, while the $100K Zero account shows $5,919.
  • Payout methods: Rewards can be received via card, cryptocurrency, Rise, or bank transfer, with a minimum reward request of 1% of the account size across every model. I’ve personally used both Rise and cryptocurrency payouts with FundingPips, and both worked flawlessly.

Platforms & Conditions

Platforms & Conditions

FundingPips runs on three platforms: MetaTrader 5 (MT5), cTrader (costs $20 extra), and MatchTrader, selected at checkout. MT5 is available in all currently supported countries except restricted ones (the US and Canada are not currently supported). The Swap-Free add-on is exclusive to MT5, and pricing is determined by the account model rather than the trading platform.

Every account is explicitly a demo account operating in a simulated trading environment. No actual trades are executed on live financial markets, regardless of the instrument, including crypto. Prices mirror the real market, but no orders are routed to a real exchange for execution. This is standard across the prop firm industry, but it’s an important distinction from a genuine exchange account.

Leverage is where the gap between marketing and reality becomes most apparent.

FundingPips advertises 1:100 forex leverage as its headline figure, and that applies to forex on eligible account types.

On Master Accounts, however, a dynamic leverage structure applies to metals, energies, and indices. Leverage starts at 1:50 for the first 0.05 lots, then steps down through 1:30, 1:25, 1:20, and 1:10 as position size increases, eventually reaching 1:5 above 0.50 lots. Don’t make the same mistake I did and assume a flat leverage ratio across the entire position. The later portions of a larger metals trade receive significantly less leverage than the initial portion.

Crypto shows a similar difference. 1:2 leverage during the Evaluation stage drops to 1:1 as soon as the account converts to a Master Account.

The Swap-Free add-on also quietly reduces leverage. Forex drops from 1:100 to 1:30, while indices fall from 1:20 to 1:5.

None of this is hidden, but it’s easy to overlook if you only focus on the advertised leverage figures.

If by “legit,” you mean whether FundingPips offers fair trading conditions and actually pays traders, then yes, it does. I have first-hand experience trading with FundingPips and have received multiple payouts over the course of a year.

It holds an International Brokerage and Clearing House License under the Comoros IBC Regulation Act 2014.

Alternatives

Alternatives

FundingPips isn’t the only option in the CFD prop trading space, and depending on what you value most, whether it’s brand longevity, market variety, or scaling potential, a competitor might genuinely be a better fit. Here are three of its closest rivals and where they have a real edge.

  • FTMO: Beats FundingPips if brand trust and track record matter most to you. FTMO has operated since 2014, with 200,000+ funded traders and a reported 99.8% on-time payout rate. It has been in business for nearly a decade longer than FundingPips.
  • FundedNext: Beats FundingPips if you want profit sharing during the Challenge phase, MT4 support, and a guaranteed payout within 24 hours, or you receive $1,000 in rewards. It also offers a lower starting account size of $2,000.
  • The5ers: Beats FundingPips if long-term capital scaling is your priority. The5ers allows accounts to scale up to $4,000,000, double FundingPips’ $2 million ceiling.

How FundingPips compares

FundingPips

Final Verdict

FundingPips funds traders through five evaluation models: Zero, 1-Step Flex, 2-Step Standard, 2-Step Flex, and 2-Step Pro. Together they cover everything from instant funding to a forgiving two-phase challenge, and what sets the firm apart is the sheer amount of choice, at some of the lowest entry fees in the industry. Flexible reward cycles let you prioritize either faster payouts or a higher profit split, ranging from 60% weekly to 100% monthly on the 2-Step Standard account, whose 10% maximum loss and 5% daily loss limits are among the most forgiving in prop trading. The firm is highly transparent, but some of its biggest pitfalls (the Zero account's trailing drawdown, per-trade idea risk, dynamic leverage, and the Profit Concentration Policy) are easy to overlook.

Prop-firm fees are at risk, most participants do not reach a payout, and simulated funding does not necessarily represent live firm capital. This review is informational, not financial advice.

How We Scored Funding Pips

FAQ

FundingPips FAQs

Is FundingPips a scam?

FundingPips is one of the best CFD prop firms in 2026. It’s been operating since late 2022, with a large, verifiable payout history and a 4.5/5 Trustpilot rating across tens of thousands of reviews. It’s not a regulated broker, but it doesn’t claim to be one either.

Which FundingPips account is easiest to pass?

The 1-Step Flex has the loosest structural requirements, with a single evaluation phase and no minimum trading days. However, the 2-Step Standard offers the most forgiving loss limits of any model, with a 10% maximum loss and a 5% daily loss limit, which matters more than speed for most traders and is especially beneficial for beginners.

How fast does FundingPips pay out?

It depends on the reward cycle you choose when purchasing the account: weekly (7 days after your first trade), bi-weekly (14 days), or monthly (30 days), plus the processing time after you submit the reward request.

Does FundingPips allow news trading?

Yes. FundingPips allows news trading during the evaluation stage on every model (Zero has no evaluation phase). On Master Accounts, a 10-minute restricted window applies to every model except Zero, which prohibits news trading entirely.

Is FundingPips' leverage really 1:100?

For forex on certain account types, yes. For indices, the maximum leverage is 1:20 across all account types. For energies, it’s 1:10; for crypto, 1:2; and for metals, it’s either 1:20 or 1:30, depending on the account type. However, a dynamic leverage tier can reduce the effective leverage to as low as 1:5 on larger position sizes. The Swap-Free add-on further reduces leverage across the board.
