FLT Token:
FLT is Fluence's native utility and governance token with several functions:
- Staking: Compute providers stake FLT for each CPU added to ensure network reliability.
- Rewards: Used to compensate compute providers.
- Governance: Enables voting on protocol upgrades and treasury management.
Token Distribution:
- Total supply: 1 billion FLT tokens created at launch (February 2024).
- Initial circulation: 5% allocated for liquidity bootstrap pool.
- Developer rewards: Additional 5% unlocking two months after claim date (from April 27th).
- Compute provider earnings: Tokens earned for contributing capacity, requiring FLT staking.
- Investor and team tokens: About 45% unlocking daily from February 2025 to February 2026.
This structure aims to balance initial liquidity needs, developer incentives, and long-term token distribution to support the platform's growth and decentralization goals.
