Owning an NFT just got cooler as a restaurant in New York has revealed that prospective diners at its place can only purchase their membership via blockchain as a digital token.

Flyfish Club membership can only be purchased through NFTs

VCR Group, the parent company of the members-only private dining club, Flyfish Club, founded by Entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk alongside CEO David Rodolitz and culinary director Conor Hanlon is targeted at giving restaurant-goers the best seafood experience.

According to available information, there would be two tiers of membership. The first tier, known as Flyfish, costs 2.5 ETH, which is roughly above $8000, according to the asset’s current value.

Ownership of this regular membership would give members access to the main dining room, outdoor space and cocktail lounge, and special events.

The other tier of membership is the Flyfish Omakase. This tier costs 4.25 ETH (over $14,000), and its members would enjoy all of the benefits accrued to the regular members plus a 14-seat omakase room.

Official information on the website reveals that there would be no recurring annual fees and that holders of the NFT can either choose to sell their tokens or even lease the asset to non-members for a month.

“By utilizing NFT’s, FFC is able to create a loyal, member-community that we can provide special experiences for. NFT’s create new modernistic financial models, which will allow FFC to deliver an exceptional and sustainable product for years to come.”

Interestingly, this NFT-exclusive membership restaurant is not expected to be open until 2023.

NFTs offering exclusive access

While NFTs have undoubtedly become more popular in the crypto world. Projects in the space look to entice investors with a number of features and use cases that distinguishes them from others in the community.

For example, Adidas revealed that holders of its “Into the metaverse” tokens would have access to an exclusive fan club which would play a massive role in helping to shape the kind of product the company would be launching for the community.

Apart from Adidas, another NFT offering some exclusives to its holders is the Bored Ape NFT, who, through a number of interesting features, has been able to hold the interest of its investors and the public.
