CryptoSlate wMarket Update: Dogecoin plunges below $0.09 on a tumultuous red day

The cryptocurrency market cap saw net outflows of $27.6 billion and currently stands at $1.177 trillion — down 2.3% from $1.204 trillion.

During the last 24 hours, the market caps of Bitcoin and Ethereum fell 2.4% and 2.7% to $538.55 billion and $224.22 billion, respectively.

Over the reporting period, the top 10 crypto assets all recorded losses. Dogecoin leads the losses, down 9.8%, followed by Cardano, which fell 4.8%.

The market cap of Tether (USDT) increased to $80.1 billion. Meanwhile, USC Coin (USDC) and Binance USD fell to $32.6 billion and $7.2 billion, respectively.

Bitcoin

In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin fell 2.4% to trade at $27,827 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance stayed flat at 45.8%.

Over the reporting period, BTC sunk to find support at $27,810 – a muted bounce topped out at $28,300, leading to a gradual downtrend with the approximate previous support zone being respected.

Ethereum

Over the last 24 hours, Ethereum lost 2.7% to trade at $1,860 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance stayed flat at 19.1%.

During the reporting period, Ethereum found support at $1,883. The ensuing recovery peaked at $1,918, setting off a gradual move lower that broke previous support.
