Mercuryo About

Mercuryo is a global crypto payment infrastructure platform that connects traditional payment methods with digital assets. Founded in 2018, the company provides fiat-to-crypto on-ramps and crypto-to-fiat off-ramps for wallets, exchanges, fintech products, and Web3 applications. Its wider product suite includes cross-chain swaps, embedded card issuance, merchant checkout, business wallets, and mass payouts. Mercuryo operates through MRCR Holdings Ltd. and a group of regional subsidiaries and service partners.

History and Company Background

Mercuryo launched in 2018 as a wallet that allowed users to purchase cryptocurrency with a bank card. In 2019, the company shifted toward an infrastructure-first business model, supplying payment and compliance technology to third-party platforms. Petr Kozyakov is the company’s co-founder and chief executive officer.

The platform has since been integrated by crypto wallets, exchanges, and decentralized applications, including MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Ledger, 1inch, PancakeSwap, Bybit, Bitget, and Tonkeeper. Mercuryo reports more than 12 million users, over 500 partners, €2 billion in transaction volume, and a workforce exceeding 300 employees. Its office network includes Limassol, London, Valencia, New York, and Vancouver.

Fiat On-Ramps and Off-Ramps

Mercuryo’s core service allows users to buy or sell digital assets without leaving a partner wallet or application. Businesses can add the service through an API, software development kit, iFrame, WebView, or hosted widget. Mercuryo manages functions including customer identity verification, transaction monitoring, payment processing, fraud controls, and blockchain delivery, while partners can customize branding, currencies, languages, payment methods, and parts of the verification flow.

Supported payment options can include bank cards, bank transfers, Apple Pay, Google Pay, mobile wallets, QR payments, neobanks, and regional methods. The company states that its on-ramp supports more than 25 fiat currencies, while off-ramp availability includes EUR and USD. Mercuryo’s listed asset coverage includes 48 named cryptocurrencies and tokens, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, Solana, XRP, BNB, TRON, TON, Cardano, Dogecoin, Polkadot, Avalanche, Sui, and several stablecoins. Availability varies by jurisdiction, network, and payment route.

Swaps, Spend, and Mercuryo Pay

Mercuryo Swaps provides embedded crypto-to-crypto exchange across supported blockchains. The product offers more than 50 trading pairs, fixed quotes, cross-chain routing, and delivery of native assets on the destination network. Partners can integrate the service through an API or configurable widget.

Spend enables wallets and Web3 companies to issue co-branded payment cards. The product supports Apple Pay and Google Pay, multi-chain funding, and more than 70 cryptocurrencies where available. Mercuryo Pay is designed for merchant and business use, combining crypto checkout, fiat and crypto settlement, business wallets, mass payouts, and payment discrepancy management.
