Fuse Media to be launch partner for Theta Metachain
As part of the deal, Fuse Media will incorporate Theta-based NFTs and TNT tokens, as well as use Theta Video API.
Media and entertainment focussed Theta Labs has selected Fuse Media as its launch partner for Theta Network’s Mainnet 4.0, Metachain.
Theta, which is compatible with Ethereum, allows existing video and media platforms to increase their revenue and decrease the cost of content delivery while rewarding end-users for contributing bandwidth or sharing storage.
As part of the deal announced Aug. 24, Fuse Media will utilize Theta Ecosystem’s host of tools, including Theta Video API for delivering video streams, according to the press release.
Fuse Media will also incorporate Theta-based non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and TNT20 tokens to boost engagement with its audience, as per the press release. Fuse’s SVP Digital Patrick Courtney recently talked about the role of NFTs in fan engagement at the NFT NYC conference.
Mike Roggero, CEO of Fuse said:
“By combining Fuse programming and talent with Theta’s leading blockchain technology, we can introduce a completely new dynamic in entertainment where users’ voices are represented in the media they enjoy.”
The Theta Metachain is scheduled to launch Dec. 1.
Theta Metachain is an interconnected blockchain consisting of one main chain and unlimited subchains. The Metachain aims to enable unlimited transactional throughput, and reduce block finalization time to 1-2 seconds or less.
