Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux is a seasoned executive known for his leadership in the cryptocurrency industry. He holds a degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications from Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (INSA Lyon) in France.
Graftieaux has over two decades of experience in the financial and technology sectors. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he worked as a consultant focusing on technology and digital transformation projects. He later held various leadership roles at Visa, where he was instrumental in driving the company’s digital payment initiatives and expanding its global footprint.
Graftieaux joined Bitstamp, one of the world's oldest and most trusted cryptocurrency exchanges, as Chief Compliance Officer in 2018. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance and ensuring the exchange operated within the legal frameworks of various jurisdictions. His expertise in compliance and regulatory matters played a crucial role in Bitstamp's ability to navigate the complex and evolving landscape of cryptocurrency regulation.
In 2022, Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux was appointed as the Global Chief Executive Officer of Bitstamp. As CEO, he focuses on expanding Bitstamp's market presence, enhancing the platform's security features, and driving innovation to meet the growing demands of cryptocurrency traders and investors. Under his leadership, Bitstamp continues to uphold its reputation for reliability, transparency, and customer service in the cryptocurrency industry.
