Cessiah Lopez is Head of Growth and Policy at Superteam UK, where she leads policy, ecosystem growth, institutional engagement and communications. Her work focuses on encouraging technology and digital asset founders to build and remain in the UK. She also leads the Brain Drain Wall, Superteam UK’s public record of why founders and builders leave Britain.
Research and professional background
Lopez is a Crypto Research Affiliate at the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy at the University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on the policy, regulatory and societal implications of emerging technologies.
Before joining Superteam UK, she was a founder at Entrepreneur First. She has also led content, communications and growth strategy for Web3 companies. According to her submitted biography, this work included social campaigns generating more than 7.5 million impressions, a points programme attracting more than 900,000 wallet sign-ups, and a community campaign raising more than $1 million.
Education
Lopez studied International Trade Law for a Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of East Anglia from 2018 to 2020. She studied Law for a Bachelor of Arts (BA) at City St George’s, University of London, from 2014 to 2017.
