“Transitory” U.S. inflation hits 7.5% in January, 40 year high
Reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. inflation rate rose to 7.5% in January, hitting levels not seen in 40 years. Anything but “transitory”, the U.S. inflation rate has been on a steady rise since spring 2020.
