Avantis is the largest real-world asset (RWA) perpetuals DEX in DeFi, built on and backed by Base. The platform enables users to trade both crypto assets and RWAs—including foreign exchange, commodities, indices, and equities—in a transparent, permissionless environment. Supported by leading investors such as Pantera Capital and Coinbase, Avantis has quickly become the highest-volume decentralized exchange on Base, offering institutional-grade trading products with up to 500x leverage.
Avantis pioneered zero-fee perpetuals (ZFP), a new primitive in DeFi where traders only pay fees if they generate profits. In addition, the protocol introduced leveraged RWAs onchain, broadening access to traditional markets within decentralized finance. Avantis was co-founded by Harsehaj Singh and Raymond Dong, both of whom bring extensive backgrounds in finance and crypto. The team includes engineers and designers across India, the U.S., and Europe with prior experience at Binance, Quantopian, and major fintech firms. Governance is coordinated by the Avantis Foundation, based in the Cayman Islands.
