Francis Forde, Head of Risk and Compliance, Wert.io Francis currently manages the development, implementation and execution of Wert's compliance program. Prior to Wert, he managed Testing and Policy for the Bank Secrecy Act office at Varo. As part of the compliance and risk team, Francis worked to secure the first-ever Office of Comptroller of Currency Bank charter granted to a Fintech company. In August 2020. Varo secured the charter. Previously, Francis worked as a compliance analyst for Coinbase, where he also worked as part of the compliance and risk team for Coinbase Consumer. The Coinbase Consumer Compliance team managed risk and compliance matters associated with trading convertible digital assets. In the past, Francis worked at Morgan Stanley and Citibank as part of the Institutional Securities Group at Morgan Stanley. He investigated financial crimes associated with securities trading, insider trading and market manipulation for domestic and international clients. At Citibank, he investigated clients involved in major financial crimes that included domestic and international customers. He has published works in Biomechanics. He consistently leverages his research and science background and knowledge in his compliance and risk work.
