About the role

About CryptoSlate

CryptoSlate is one of the most established names in crypto media and data. The site combines real-time crypto news, market data, and a growing portfolio of comparison and review products across exchanges, casinos, sportsbooks, sweepstakes, and other commercial verticals.

CryptoSlate sits at the intersection of editorial authority, data, SEO, and product-led growth. The opportunity now is to make the product layer faster, sharper, and more commercially effective: better user journeys, cleaner comparison tools, better review experiences, tighter data flows, and features that help readers make decisions with confidence.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Head of Product to own CryptoSlate’s roadmap from strategy through release.

You will turn business goals, competitor gaps, SEO opportunities, editorial needs, and user behavior into a clear product backlog. You will work closely with engineering, design, content, SEO, and business development to decide what we build, why it matters, when it ships, and how we measure whether it worked.

This is not a management-only product role. You should be comfortable setting direction, but also writing tickets, defining acceptance criteria, reviewing flows, checking analytics, sitting in QA, and pushing releases over the line.

The right person already understands crypto, fintech, and performance-led digital products. You will not need a long ramp on the market, the users, or why speed, accuracy, compliance sensitivity, and conversion all matter here.

You will join a small, senior team where everyone ships. There is little bureaucracy, but there is a high bar for clarity, pace, and ownership.

What You’ll Own

Product Strategy and Roadmap

You will own the product vision and roadmap for CryptoSlate’s web platform and commercial product verticals. That includes review pages, comparison experiences, ranking pages, market-data surfaces, affiliate funnels, CMS workflows, internal tooling, and the product features that support editorial, SEO, and revenue growth.

  • Build and maintain a prioritized roadmap tied to business outcomes.
  • Translate commercial targets into product initiatives.
  • Benchmark competitors and decide where CryptoSlate should lead, match, simplify, or ignore.
  • Identify product gaps across UX, content operations, data, tracking, conversion, and page performance.
  • Keep the team focused on the highest-impact work rather than the loudest request.

Delivery and Execution

You will be responsible for making sure important work moves from idea to production without losing quality.

  • Own backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release planning.
  • Write clear product briefs, user stories, tickets, and acceptance criteria.
  • Break large goals into small, shippable releases.
  • Partner with engineering to clarify scope, remove blockers, and protect delivery focus.
  • Review work before release and make sure shipped features match the agreed spec.
  • Own QA standards for product launches, including edge cases, content workflows, tracking, and user-facing polish.
  • Maintain a clear single source of truth for what is being built, what is blocked, and what is next.

Commercial and Growth Alignment

CryptoSlate’s product roadmap needs to connect directly to revenue, search demand, and user trust.

  • Work closely with the Founder and Business Development Manager on product priorities tied to revenue, FTDs, qualified clicks, CPA, rev-share, and partner performance.
  • Partner with SEO and content teams on templates, page structures, internal-linking opportunities, and scalable publishing workflows.
  • Improve conversion paths across comparison tables, review pages, CTAs, product cards, and vertical hubs.
  • Use analytics to identify where users drop, where pages underperform, and where product changes can improve commercial output.
  • Reprioritize quickly when data shows a product bet is not moving the numbers.

Measurement and Iteration

You will define what success means before the team builds.

  • Set success metrics for major initiatives.
  • Make sure tracking is in place before launch.
  • Review performance after release and communicate what changed.
  • Use analytics, search data, partner data, and user behavior to decide what to improve, repeat, or kill.
  • Build a habit of iteration rather than one-off feature launches.

Product Operations, Notion, and AI

We run lean, so product operations matter.

  • Keep Notion clean, current, and useful as the team’s operating system.
  • Build lightweight processes for roadmap planning, release notes, QA, product specs, and stakeholder updates.
  • Use AI and automation to reduce manual work across research, specs, QA checklists, reporting, and workflow management.
  • Look for repeatable systems rather than one-off fixes.

What Success Looks Like

  • In the first 30 days, you will have audited the current product surface, mapped the main revenue and workflow bottlenecks, cleaned up the product backlog, and agreed on the first roadmap priorities with the Founder.
  • By 60 days, you will have a working delivery cadence, clearer product specs, tighter QA, and the first measurable product improvements shipped.
  • By 90 days, CryptoSlate should have a more predictable product function, a clearer commercial roadmap, and visible improvements in at least one major area such as conversion, page experience, publishing workflow, tracking quality, or vertical-product UX.

What We’re Looking For

Deal-breakers

You should have:

  • 5+ years in product, including senior or lead ownership of a roadmap.
  • Direct experience in crypto, fintech, trading, iGaming, affiliate, performance marketing, or another compliance-sensitive commercial category.
  • A clear understanding of crypto users, fintech products, and the trust issues that come with financial decision-making.
  • Proven experience turning business goals into product strategy, specs, tickets, releases, and measurable outcomes.
  • Delivery discipline across backlog management, sprint planning, QA, and release management.
  • Commercial fluency. You understand revenue, conversion, FTDs, CPA, rev-share, and how product decisions affect commercial results.
  • Clear written communication. Your tickets, briefs, updates, and decisions are easy to act on without long meetings.
  • Notion fluency and a practical instinct for AI-assisted workflows and automation.
  • Strong CET overlap.

You’ll Likely Also Bring

  • Experience working closely with engineers and designers in a small team.
  • Comfort with analytics tools, event tracking, funnels, dashboards, and A/B testing.
  • Experience with SEO-led products, content-led growth, or large-scale publishing platforms.
  • Familiarity with affiliate monetization, review products, comparison pages, and commercial landing pages.
  • Good judgment around compliance-sensitive content, especially where product, editorial, and revenue overlap.
  • The ability to say no clearly, defend prioritization, and keep the team focused.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in iGaming, sportsbooks, casinos, exchanges, wallets, trading platforms, or financial comparison products.
  • Experience working on media, data, or CMS-heavy platforms.
  • Familiarity with GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Looker Studio, Hotjar, PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar tooling.
  • Experience improving Core Web Vitals, page templates, internal search, comparison tables, product cards, or affiliate funnels.
  • Experience building internal tools for content, research, QA, or partner operations.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a corporate product role with layers of analysts, project managers, and delivery leads around you.

It is not a pure strategy role where you hand off ideas and step away.

It is not a feature-factory role where every stakeholder request gets built.

You will need to think commercially, write clearly, prioritize hard, work directly with engineering, and stay close enough to the details to know whether the thing we shipped is actually good.

What We Offer

The biggest thing we offer isn’t a list of perks, it’s that you will get better here. That has always been the promise, and it is why the people who come and build with us leave sharper than they arrived. We train constantly, review each other’s work, and grow as a team rather than in silos. Come here to be materially better at what you do a year from now than you are today.

Our culture is simple: work hard, play hard. We push and hold a high bar when it counts, and we genuinely enjoy the work, and each other, the rest of the time.

These are the values we actually run on:

  • We grow together. Honest feedback, shared playbooks, and skills that compound. Your growth is the point, not a side effect.
  • We own outcomes. Real ownership of your work and your results from day one. You are measured on impact, not tickets closed or hours logged.
  • We run on AI. An AI-first, data-driven toolkit, with decisions settled by real data rather than hunches, so your work compounds instead of getting redone.
  • We get shit done. A small, senior team of specialists. Fast decisions, no bureaucracy, no busywork, startup speed at a high standard.
  • Real ownership. The product roadmap and the systems that scale it are yours to shape.
  • Flexible, fully remote with clear expectations and fast feedback.
  • Competitive compensation based on experience, skill level, and scope.
