The cryptocurrency market cap saw net inflows of $9.8 billion over the last 24 hours and currently stands at $1.17 trillion — up 0.8% from $1.16 trillion.

During the reporting period, the market caps of Bitcoin and Ethereum decreased by 1.2% and 1.7% to $542.1 billion and $218.9 billion, respectively.

The top 10 cryptocurrencies recorded mixed results over the last 24 hours. Leading the losses were Dogecoin and Cardano, down 3.5% and 3.2%, respectively. In contrast, Ethereum and Bitcoin posted marginal gains at 1.7% and 1.2%, respectively.

In the last 24 hours, the market cap of Tether (USDT) increased to $78.56 billion. Meanwhile, USD Coin (USDC) fell to $34.4 billion, and Binance USD (BUSD) held flat at $8.06 billion.

Bitcoin

In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin increased by 1.2% to trade at $28,024 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance grew to 46.3% from 46.1%.

During the reporting period, buyers lifted BTC to peak at $28,742. A rejection at this price led to a staggered downtrend that retested the approximate $27,780 support level on three successive occasions. The leading cryptocurrency has since been ranging between $27,956 and $28,449.

Ethereum

Over the last 24 hours, Ethereum grew 1.7% to trade at $1,787 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance increased to 18.7% from 18.5%.

During the reporting period, Ethereum topped out at $1,857 before trending down. At 04:00 (ET,) a rejection at $1,817 was followed by a spill that bottomed at $1,777.
