Geoffrey Kendrick Bio

Geoffrey Kendrick, also known as Geoff Kendrick, is Head of Digital Assets Research at Standard Chartered. His research addresses cryptocurrency markets and the relationships between digital assets, institutional investment flows and macroeconomic conditions.

Crypto research at Standard Chartered

When Standard Chartered announced the start of its crypto-asset research coverage in 2021, it identified Kendrick as the leader of the team. He also headed emerging-markets foreign-exchange research (West) at that time. The initial coverage included reports on Bitcoin and Ethereum, with research intended to inform clients about market developments and pricing outlooks.

Bitcoin market commentary

Kendrick's public comments have been covered in CryptoSlate's crypto market research coverage. In October 2025, he reaffirmed a $200,000 year-end Bitcoin forecast and identified additional spot ETF inflows and US government risks as potential catalysts.

That forecast was a conditional market outlook. In the client note discussed by CryptoSlate, Kendrick expected additional ETF demand to support the target. The statement should be understood in its original date and market context.

Research focus

Kendrick's work connects developments in digital assets with traditional financial markets. His comments on Bitcoin have considered ETF investment, investor demand and the effects of government-risk uncertainty.
