Simplex-Dash deal means DASH can be bought with credit card

Leading digital currency and blockchain governance network Dash has partnered with fiat-crypto payment processor Simplex, enabling DASH to be purchased with a credit card.

Simplex provides fiat infrastructure to many of the world’s leading crypto exchanges including Binance, KuCoin, OKEx, Huobi, BitMart and Poloniex. The Israeli fintech firm recently expanded its fiat on-ramp, permitting customers to pay for various cryptocurrencies using 19 popular fiat currencies.

As part of the strategic partnership, users will be able to buy the world’s first self-funding crypto via platforms that have integrated Simplex’s payment rails. DASH, a top 20 cryptocurrency by market cap, is backed by a fiercely loyal community of developers and users.

Building better bridges to the cryptosphere

The announcement follows similar agreements reached between the EU-licensed Simplex and networks like Tron and Cosmos. DASH will join other Simplex-supported cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Ripple, BNB, Litecoin, Stellar, Tron, Nano, and cosmos.

Dash is a hard fork of Bitcoin, launched in 2014 and originally known as DarkCoin. A decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), Dash enhances financial privacy and ensures speedy transactions.

Commenting on the partnership, Simplex CEO Nimrod Lehavi said:

“We are pleased to add DASH to our portfolio and allow our network of a hundred leading exchanges and wallet partners to offer credit card purchasing of DASH, using a multitude of currencies Simplex now supports.”

Ryan Taylor, CEO of Dash Core Group added:

“Partnering with Simplex, a leading credit card payment processing company, is an incredibly exciting opportunity for Dash,” “Thanks to their advanced fraud detection capabilities, Simplex’s clients include some of the largest platforms in the industry.

“Through this integration, we’re excited to expand access to Dash and to give our users more choices. Simplex not only means a simplified purchase experience for our users, but it means Dash can be offered on more partner websites than ever before.”

While the partnership will open a gateway for interested parties to purchase DASH directly with a credit card, the network’s recent agreement with remittance firm Tauros will also see the crypto added to over 11,000 ATMs in Mexico. The Dash ecosystem is expanding throughout South America, with adoption of Dash wallets growing by over 500% in Venezuela in the past year.
