Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Robert F Kennedy Jr is an American environmental lawyer, politician, and author. He is well-known for spreading anti-vaccine misinformation and conspiracy theories about public health. He is a candidate for the Democratic Party’s presidential candidacy in the 2024 election.

Kennedy is the son of former US Attorney General and Senator Robert F. Kennedy, as well as the nephew of former US President John F. Kennedy. Kennedy began his legal career as an assistant district attorney in New York City. He joined Riverkeeper in 1984 and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) in 1986, two environmental non-profits. In 1986, he was appointed an adjunct environmental law professor at Pace University School of Law. He started Pace Law School’s Environmental Litigation Clinic in 1987, serving as supervising attorney and co-director until 2017. In 1999, he formed the non-profit environmental organization Waterkeeper Alliance and served as its president

He graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in American History and Literature and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law.
